Hi all,
I have just (2 months ago) started picking up Photography a bit more seriously, and am now on one of the "Floodlight" courses in Milton Keynes, which unfortunately, seems to concentrate more on PS Elements than on improving the abilities to outgrow the "snapper-era".
For this, to not break the bank if this was gonna be another fluke (like I would ever fall for that :? ), I bought a bridge camera (Samsung WB5000) instead of a DSLR (which was sort of a mistake, but not from the point where I now realize it is something I do seem to enjoy).
So now I have bought a Pentax (k-x), to get more out of a hobby.
What I am looking for is a "local pool of knowledge" from which I can learn, and share ideas (if that makes sense? I do not often make sense  ).

I am planning on joining the Photography course @ Shutterbug later this year.

Fred de Klein
Pentax K-x as well as Samsung WB5000 ;)

Welcome to the forum Fred, I very much look forward to meeting you and helping with your photography. You might like to think about joining in with the monthly meets until the next course starts.

Hi Fred.....from Sarah (Pixie) who also lives in Milton Keynes, well Bletchley these days.

Certainly worth going on Bridget's course later in the year, I never have my camera on automatic now.....which I am really proud of!
