The link below will take you to my page on Photobucket. The first image shows the flame quite rounded and out of focus. The second image doesn't get the hexagon shape I was trying for but the flame definately changes shape. http://s821.photobucket.com/albums/zz13 ... ce/Lights/

To complete this exercise you need lots of lights and focus on the front subject, then by adjusting your aperture settings produces the difference shapes in the lights.
If you have a chance try again ideally while you get used to how to get the effect with some christmas tree lights, this is the easiest way of doing it.
