Hi everyone!

I'm Duncan from Northampton, I run a car club based in the Midlands and South West and enjoy taking many pictures of cars and other subjects but have never managed to progress beyond auto so I'm hoping to meet some like minded locals and to learn how to get the most from my camera

Hmmm, seem's a bit quiet on here, is the forum still being used??

Well anyway I've been working my way though Understanding Exposure this week and have started taking my 1st pics in Manual mode, I'm so amazed at how easy its been to pick it up!

I'm gonna keep practising using different exposures untill I a better feel for things then hopfully I'll be able to post up a few pics

I'm not sure if can make any meets at the moment due to having a our 1 month old daughter requiring all our attention although I may come to them in the future

Well I attempted my 1st shoot in manual mode today

The subject was a small Parish Curch in Denton, Northamptonshire, not the greatest of subject's I'll admit as I'm not really a church go'er but it was local and opposite a pub

Hi Duncan........sounds like you have your hands full!, my grand daughter is now 7 months old and starting to crawl about.
I love the 3rd picture, leading to the white front door, the path draws your eyes in.......and the one of the bell pulls (the first one), unusual angle. Forum has been a bit quiet of late.........maybe people are on holiday
